Terms of service
These terms explain the agreement between you and CovePet when you create an account, start a trial, subscribe, or use the service.
Last updated July 26, 2026
1. Accepting these terms
By creating a CovePet account or using the service, you agree to these terms and the Privacy Policy. You must be able to enter into this agreement where you live. If you do not agree, do not use CovePet.
2. What CovePet provides
CovePet helps pet owners organize observations, medications, reminders, visit notes, and owner-prepared summaries. CovePet is not a veterinary clinic, medical record system, diagnostic tool, or emergency service. It does not provide veterinary advice and does not replace care from a qualified veterinary professional.
3. Your account
You are responsible for providing accurate account information, protecting your sign-in credentials, and activity under your account. Contact CovePet promptly if you believe someone else has accessed your account. You may not use another person’s account without permission.
4. Trial, subscription, and renewal
When an introductory trial is available, its duration and eligibility are shown before purchase. Unless you cancel before the trial or billing period ends, your subscription provider charges the displayed price for the CovePet plan and interval you selected. Web subscriptions are billed by Stripe. Subscriptions purchased in the iPhone or iPad app are billed by Apple through your App Store account. Subscriptions renew automatically until canceled. The provider displays the applicable currency and tax.
5. Cancellation and account deletion
You can open the appropriate subscription-management flow from CovePet settings. Stripe subscriptions are managed on the web; App Store subscriptions are managed by Apple. A scheduled cancellation normally keeps access available through the end of the current trial or paid billing period. Deleting your CovePet account is different: it ends CovePet access and begins deletion of account and pet data. CovePet cancels active Stripe subscriptions connected to the deleted account, but deleting CovePet does not cancel an App Store subscription. You must manage that subscription with Apple.
Refund eligibility is explained in the Refund Policy.
6. Your content and shared links
You keep ownership of information and files you add to CovePet. You give CovePet permission to process and store that content only as needed to operate, secure, and support the service. You are responsible for having the right to upload and share the content you provide. Anyone with an active vet-summary link may view that summary until you revoke the link.
7. Acceptable use
Do not use CovePet to break the law, violate another person’s rights, upload malicious code, interfere with the service, probe or bypass security controls, scrape private information, or share content you are not authorized to share.
8. Service changes and availability
CovePet may change, suspend, or discontinue parts of the service to maintain security, reliability, or product quality. CovePet does not promise uninterrupted or error-free availability. When practical, material changes affecting paid use will be explained before they take effect.
9. Disclaimer and responsibility
To the extent permitted by law, CovePet is provided as available without warranties that it will meet every need or preserve every record in every circumstance. You remain responsible for care decisions, confirming instructions with the veterinary team, and keeping any records you need outside CovePet. Nothing in these terms limits rights or remedies that cannot legally be limited.
10. Changes and contact
CovePet may update these terms as the service changes. The latest revision date appears on this page. Questions about these terms can be sent to hello@covepet.com.
