Terms of Service

Welcome to Covepet. By using our mobile application ("App"), you agree to these Terms of Service ("Terms").

1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using Covepet, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App.

2. Description of Service

Covepet is a pet health management application that allows you to:

  • Store and organize pet health records
  • Track vaccinations, medications, and vet visits
  • Scan veterinary documents using AI technology
  • Set reminders for pet care tasks

3. Account Registration

  • You must create an account to use the App
  • You are responsible for maintaining account security
  • You must provide accurate and complete information
  • You must be at least 13 years old to use the App

4. Subscription Plans

Free Tier

  • Limited to 3 AI-powered record scans per month
  • Access to basic pet health tracking features

Premium Subscription

  • Unlimited AI-powered record scans
  • Available as monthly or annual plans
  • Prices displayed in the App at time of purchase

Billing and Renewal

  • Payment is charged to your Apple ID account
  • Subscriptions automatically renew unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period
  • You can manage and cancel subscriptions in your device's Settings > Apple ID > Subscriptions

Refunds

  • Refund requests are handled by Apple according to their refund policies
  • Contact Apple Support for refund inquiries

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the App for any unlawful purpose
  • Upload malicious content or attempt to compromise the App
  • Share your account credentials with others
  • Reverse engineer or attempt to extract the App's source code
  • Use the App to store information unrelated to pet care

6. AI-Powered Features

  • The AI record scanning feature is provided for convenience only
  • AI-extracted information should be reviewed for accuracy
  • We do not guarantee the accuracy of AI-processed data
  • You are responsible for verifying all health information

7. Medical Disclaimer

IMPORTANT: Covepet is not a substitute for professional veterinary care.

  • The App is for record-keeping and organizational purposes only
  • We do not provide veterinary advice, diagnosis, or treatment
  • Always consult a licensed veterinarian for pet health concerns
  • Do not delay seeking veterinary care based on App information

8. Intellectual Property

  • The App and its content are owned by Covepet
  • You retain ownership of the data you input
  • You grant us a license to process your data to provide the service

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law:

  • The App is provided "as is" without warranties
  • We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages
  • Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for the App in the past 12 months
  • We are not responsible for data loss; you should maintain your own backups

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Covepet from any claims arising from your use of the App or violation of these Terms.

11. Termination

  • You may terminate your account at any time
  • We may suspend or terminate your access for Terms violations
  • Upon termination, your right to use the App ceases immediately

12. Changes to Terms

We may modify these Terms at any time. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.

13. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

For Canadian Users: These Terms are governed by the laws of Ontario, Canada. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Ontario, Canada.

For United States Users: These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes shall be resolved through binding arbitration in accordance with the American Arbitration Association rules, except that you may bring claims in small claims court if eligible.

Class Action Waiver: You agree to resolve disputes with us on an individual basis. You waive any right to participate in a class action lawsuit or class-wide arbitration against Covepet.
