Terms of service

CovePet is made by MSDC Ltd. (“MSDC”). These terms are an agreement between you and MSDC about the CovePet iPhone app, the covepet.com website, and vet-summary links (together, “CovePet”).

By creating a CovePet account or using CovePet, you agree to these terms and the Privacy policy. You must be old enough to enter into this agreement where you live. If you do not agree, do not use CovePet.

These terms may change as CovePet changes. The date at the top of this page shows the latest revision. If a change materially affects paid use, CovePet will explain it in the app or by email before it takes effect. Using CovePet after a change means you accept the updated terms.

These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada that apply there.

Nothing in these terms takes away a consumer protection right you have where you live.

CovePet helps pet owners organize observations, medications, vet notes, and owner-prepared summaries, and share a summary with a vet through a link.

CovePet is not a veterinary clinic, medical record system, diagnostic tool, or emergency service. It does not provide veterinary advice and does not replace care from a qualified veterinary professional.

In the iPhone app, a note you type is read on your iPhone, by CovePet’s own reader, to suggest records. It is not sent to an AI service. Suggestions can be wrong, and nothing is saved until you review it.

CovePet relies on other companies to run, including Apple for the App Store, sign-in, and billing. The Privacy policy lists each provider and what it does. Their own terms apply to your use of their services.

You are responsible for providing accurate account information, protecting your sign-in credentials, and activity under your account. Contact CovePet promptly if you believe someone else has accessed your account. You may not use another person’s account without permission.

You decide who to invite as a caregiver. A caregiver sees every current and future pet in your household, so share access only with people you trust. You are responsible for sharing only what you have the right to share.

CovePet Free includes two pet profiles, unlimited saved health records, and one read-only caregiver. Free access has no time limit and does not require a card.

Creating vet-summary share links and attaching video are part of CovePet Pro. A CovePet Pro purchase starts billing that day. CovePet Pro is currently sold in the iPhone app and billed by Apple through your App Store account. Apple displays the applicable currency and tax.

Paid subscriptions renew automatically until canceled. You can open Apple subscription management from CovePet settings. A scheduled cancellation normally keeps paid access through the end of the current billing period. When paid access ends, the account returns to the Free limits. Saved records remain available, and the owner can edit or delete them.

You keep ownership of information and files you add to CovePet. You give CovePet permission to process and store that content only as needed to operate, secure, and support the service. You are responsible for having the right to upload and share the content you provide.

Anyone with an active vet-summary link can view that summary until the link expires or is switched off.

Deleting your CovePet account ends CovePet access and begins deletion of account and pet data. It does not cancel an App Store subscription. You must manage that subscription with Apple.

Do not use CovePet for any of these.

• Breaking the law or another person’s rights.
• Uploading malicious code.
• Interfering with the service, or probing or bypassing security.
• Scraping private information.
• Sharing content you are not allowed to share.

MSDC Ltd. owns CovePet, including its software, design, name, and logo. These terms do not give you any right to them except the license below.

MSDC gives you a personal, non-transferable license to use the CovePet app on Apple devices you own or control, as allowed by the App Store Usage Rules. You may not copy, modify, reverse engineer, or resell CovePet, except where the law allows it.

CovePet may change, suspend, or discontinue parts of the service to maintain security, reliability, or product quality. CovePet does not promise uninterrupted or error-free availability. When practical, material changes affecting paid use will be explained before they take effect.

You can stop using CovePet and delete your account at any time. CovePet may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, or when the law requires it. When practical, CovePet will tell you why and give you a chance to export your record first.

To the extent permitted by law, CovePet is provided as available, without warranties that it will meet every need or preserve every record in every circumstance. You remain responsible for care decisions, confirming instructions with the veterinary team, and keeping any records you need outside CovePet.

To the extent permitted by law, MSDC Ltd. is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential losses. MSDC’s total liability for any claim about CovePet is limited to the amount you paid for CovePet in the 12 months before the claim.

Nothing in these terms limits rights or remedies that cannot legally be limited.

These terms are between you and MSDC Ltd., not Apple. Apple is not responsible for CovePet or its content, and has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for it.

If the app fails to meet an applicable warranty, you may tell Apple, and Apple will refund the purchase price, if any. To the extent permitted by law, Apple has no other warranty obligation for the app. MSDC Ltd., not Apple, is responsible for claims about the app, including product liability, legal or regulatory compliance, consumer protection, and third-party intellectual property claims.

You confirm that you are not in a country subject to a US government embargo, and are not on a US government list of prohibited or restricted parties.

Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms. Once you accept them, Apple may enforce them against you.
