How we publish

Editorial and sourcing policy

CovePet public content helps owners organize records and prepare for veterinary conversations. It does not diagnose, prescribe, or replace a veterinary professional.

Who is accountable

CovePet is responsible for its public product and organization content. We do not invent individual authors, credentials, customer stories, reviewer names, usage counts, or endorsements. Health-context material will name a reviewer and their credentials only when that review exists.

How sources are chosen

We prefer veterinary professional organizations, veterinary colleges, peer-reviewed research, and government or regulatory sources. Competitor pages and general search results may help identify a user question, but they are not treated as medical authority.

Originality

Each page should help a pet owner do one useful thing. We write from CovePet’s point of view and do not copy other pages, pad the answer, or invent personal experience.

Corrections and updates

Report an error or unclear passage to hello@covepet.com. CovePet checks corrections against the underlying source and updates the page when a change is warranted.
